M.C.U. currently provides most text books directly online free of charge to students. Hard copies are available for purchase from M.C.U.. MCU Online , a Web-based learning system, is your gateway to online learning. Your professor will give you assignments and tell you when they are due by posting this information. You will access MCU Online through M.C.U.'s Web site by entering a username and password. MCU Online is easy to use and allows you to do so much:
What you need to know People who succeed taking online courses are self-motivated and work well independently. The amount of class work is the same as for traditional on-campus courses. Basic computer skills are all you need to take courses. You need to know how to use the Internet, e-mail and Microsoft Office programs, primarily Word. You'll communicate with professors, M.C.U. Online staff and classmates primarily through e-mail. You should check your e-mail and log in to Blackboard as required. You are not required to be online at a particular time or on a particular day. You are required to actively participate in your courses. For bachelor's, master's and doctor's level courses, you must access one of the courses online at least two times per week with your password. If a direct online video/audio communication is required for certain academic guidance, an email notification of no less than 3 business days will be issued by the professor.
For the Master's degree program (total 60 credits), it normally takes 2 years to complete. Online students who continue to study during weekends, winter and summer vacations (approximately 4 months) can achieve faster progress within 1 year and 4 months. All courses are taken based on credits with flexible schedules. For the Bachelor's degree program (total 120 credits), it normally takes 4 years to complete. Online students who continue to study during weekends, winter and summer vacations (approximately 4 months) can achieve faster progress within 2 years.
